The Hazel 18 is an elegant plank-on-frame daysailer designed by Nat Benjamin and built at the G&B shop.

Planked in 5/8″ cedar on steam-bent oak frames, it is intended to be simply sailed, simply rigged, and simply maintained for the enjoyment of all ages.

The sheerstrakes, broadstrakes, and garboards are of wana, a South American species that’s nearly as dense as teak, providing extra strength and screw-holding where required.

We currently have two Hazel model daysailers for sale. The models have been built with both a marconi and a gaff-rigged sail plan.
